R1 Construction was approached by Tier 1 contractor Galliford Try to assist with the undertaking of transforming an existing ground floor student accommodation apartment and reception area into a new gymnasium.

 

With numbers expanding within the city with overseas pupils Galliford Try had just handed over the new £59M state-of-the-art student accommodation block in the heart of Coventry City Centre offering over 900 student lets.

 

The new accommodation block offers everything to the modern-day student but was lacking a gymnasium. R1 Construction engaged in early conversations with Galliford Try where we took the complete refurbishment and remodelling works on a JCT design and build contract acting as the main contractor.
