Community
We are passionate about giving back to the communities where we live and work. By fostering strong relationships and investing in local initiatives, we aim to build not just structures, but a stronger, more connected community.

Longnor CE Primary School
We were pleased to attend Longnor C of E Primary School as part of their careers event, where we delivered a fun and engaging activity session for pupils aged 4–11. The children were introduced to R1 and challenged to build their own structures using marshmallows and spaghetti, a hands-on way to explore creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and design. A big thank you to Longnor CE Primary for having us, we had a great time and hope the children did too!

Telford College
We are partnering Telford College to provide students with an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.
From November to March 2025, each of the 18 students will spend two full days on-site at R1 Living’s Webb Crescent development, currently under construction for The Wrekin Housing Group. This placement offers students practical, industry-relevant experience that complements their coursework.

Shrewsbury Town Football Club
We are proud to support Shrewsbury Town Football Club as the left sleeve shirt sponsor in a three-year partnership. Being based in Shrewsbury, it’s important to us to champion local organisations and strengthen connections within our community. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting grassroots initiatives and celebrating the pride of our hometown.

Veteran's Cafe
We are proud to support Mind's Veterans Café in Dawley as part of our ongoing commitment to social value initiatives.
Mind's Veterans Cafe offers essential support and fosters a sense of community for veterans of all ages. It provides a safe, welcoming space where veterans can connect, share experiences, and access the help they need.

Clive Barracks Wellbeing Garden
The Wellbeing Garden, designed as a tranquil space for military personnel to relax and reflect, was revitalised by R1 after a previous contractor left it in less than ideal condition.
Through the combined efforts of R1, staff, soldiers, and numerous volunteers, the garden was transformed into a beautiful and serene environment that exceeded all expectations.
